ON APPLIED HEALTH ECONOMICS AND POLICY EVALUATION

CALL FOR PAPERS

The 12th IRDES-LIRAES Workshop on Applied Health Economics and Policy Evaluation will take place in Paris, France, on June 18th-19th 2026. Organized by the Institute for Research and Information in Health Economics (IRDES) and the Interdisciplinary Laboratory for Applied Research in Health Economics & Management (LIRAES), the workshop aims to stimulate innovative empirical work on public policy evaluation. It covers a wide range of topics including, but not restricted to, equity in health and healthcare, public and private health and disability insurance, healthcare financing and payment mechanisms, implications of variations in medical practice, supply and organisation of care.

Program

SUBMISSION AND SELECTION OF PAPERS

Selection will be made by the scientific committee based on a full or advanced draft paper written in English. Papers should include empirical material and must not exceed 8 000 words (excluding references). Only unpublished papers at the time of submission will be accepted.

Around 14 papers will be selected for oral presentation. Each paper will be allocated 20 minutes for presentation followed by a 20-minute discussion led by a participant or a member of the scientific committee. Authors of selected paper participate in the discussions on both days.

REGISTRATION AND FEES

The registration fee is 300 euros. Only authors and/or co-authors can participate in the workshop. PhD students or early career researchers may benefit from free registration upon request.
