BRIDGE-Health (BRidging Information and Data Generation for Evidence-based Health Policy and Research) project aims to create European health information and data collection networks for comprehensive, integrated and sustainable health information supporting evidence-based health policy and research in the EU and Member States (http://www.bridge-health.eu/ ).
The project was launched in May 2015 and will be running for 30 months. It includes 31 partners in 16 countries. The project bridges successful EU project in domains of population and health system monitoring and indicator development. The objectives include: to reduce health information inequality within the EU, to develop a blueprint for a sustainable EU Health information system by developing common methods for ensuring quality of data and indicators, and enhance the transferability of health information and data for policy making. Irdes participates in Work package 12, which aims to enhance capacity of health systems monitoring and reporting common practical measures for evaluating health system performance. This work package will build on the FP 7 EuroREACH project which has demonstrated the operational feasibility and usefulness of a web-based platform HealthDataNavigator (HDN): www.healthdatanavigator.eu which - as a virtual handbook - providing guidance to researchers, policy makers and other stakeholders interested in cross-country comparative research.
