Average distances travelled to seek ambulatory care according to the level of Local Potential Accessibility (LPA)*

* The Local Potential Accessibility indicator measures the balance between health care supply and demand at municipality level. It ranges from level 1 (lowest LPA) to level 4 (highest LPA).

Reading: In general medicine, patients living in municipalities with the lowest LPA (level 1, very low GP provision) travel 17 minutes to consult with a physician while the distance is 4 minutes for those who live in municipalities with the highest LPA (level 4, very high GP provision).
