Reading: In France, the percentage of breast cancer patients who benefitted from the sentinel lymph node technique rose from 15% in 2005 to 46% in 2012. Despite an overall decrease in access inequalities to this technique over the period, regional disparities remain important in 2012 even though the variations observed might result from differences in coding practices between hospitals: the percentage of women who benefitted from this intervention varies from 13% in the Hautes-Pyrénées and 23% in the Marne to more than 62% in the Jura, Loire, and Haute-Saône regions.
